Amazon may have a hit with BOSCH

 Author Michael Connelly has published a number of books already about Hieronymus Bosch, a LA based detective with a military background. Amazon, well know internet retailer, has now started their own series about Bosch with Titus Welliver as the stubborn detective, who in his first season investigates a twenty year old murder of a young boy, while at the same time, he is accused of having wrongfully killed a suspect at a possible crime scene.

The first season has 10 episodes, now available at Amazon and other providers. The series also has interesting supporting characters played by Scott Wilson (from The Walking Dead), Jason Gedrick, Lance Reddick, Annie Wersching, Sarah Clarke and many others. The series has a very catchy main title theme by Jessie Voccia and the title sequence consists of very inventive cinematography. Titus Welliver delivers a very solid performance as the detective.

The series is very capably directed by Ernest Dickerson, Matt Earl Beesley, Roxanne Dawson, and other solid television directors. I am also looking forward to a good Blu Ray release from Amazon (wink wink), pun definitely intended!!!!
